Dr. Ernest B. Lowenstein, Ph.D., O.D., practices optometry in Newton, Massachusetts, and is Associate Professor of Optics at The New England College of Optometry in Boston. In his private practice he places special emphasis on vision training and on vision-related learning problems. He lectures within his field and to educators in teaching professions. In 1989, he was named Optometrist of the Year by the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists. A graduate of The New England College of Optometry, he holds a B.S. in science from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in physics, with a concentration in optics, from Johns Hopkins University.
